Visualization of the completed pavilion
The Croatian Pavilion is designed as an immersive environment that shows the diversity of climates in the Republic of Croatia. The pavilion is never the same, it is constantly changing and each visit offers a new experience. Each of the climate zones in the pavilion is recorded with thermal cameras. These video transmissions are matched with the calculated time difference between Croatia and Japan and are displayed in the pavilion, on the website and on the pavilion’s social networks.
The Croatian Pavilion at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka represents technological innovation and uniqueness. I can proudly say that the construction was successfully completed, according to the design of the author’s team and Pero Vuković from the Arhiv architectural studio. We expect the pavilion to attract great attention among more than 28 million visitors. After the exhibition ends, we plan to exhibit the pavilion in Croatia, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to experience its artistic and technological value in their own country – said Zdenko Lucić, National Commissioner of the Republic of Croatia for EXPO 2025 Osaka and State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Pavilion under construction
The Croatian pavilion will certainly be among the most innovative at the International Exhibition in Osaka.
It will be the first time that temperature will be transferred from one part of the Earth to another, which is a kind of global innovation.
Technology has long enabled us to transmit sound, images or video live to the other side of the Earth. However, visitors to the Croatian pavilion will have the opportunity to experience and feel the air temperature that currently prevails in many locations across Croatia, from Zagrebački Grič to Dubrovnik, via Varaždin, Pula, Slavonski Brod, Lastovo or Sveti Jure on Biokovo. In the context of increasingly rapid climate change, this is an interesting and original way of conjuring up climate conditions in a remote location – said Zvonimir Frka-Petešić, member of the Croatian National Committee for the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 Osaka and Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia.

Mechanical installations on the roof of the pavilion
From the first thoughts and ideas, many hours were spent, we met many great people and hopefully future collaborators, while we tested our permanent collaborators with new tasks and ideas, solved numerous details and challenges, learned a lot and together created an artifact in which we hope to feel all of this and which will worthily represent Croatia, its climatic diversity and uniqueness – said Pero Vuković, director of the company ARHIV architecture and urbanism.
We are traveling to the land of excellence, to showcase excellence in the Republic of Croatia. We want to be recognized for the excellence of the architectural and design solution itself, as well as for the excellence of Enison’s mechanical engineers and fitters who brought this solution to life. We want to highlight the support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, which recognized, encouraged and supported this excellence – said Marko Bjegović, Head of Development at Enison.
